Kiwi Casino Poker Review
Backed by the reputable ChristChurch Casinos, the Kiwi team, popular in the bingo and casino world already, launched their Kiwi Poker room in December 2005, hosting it on the IPoker Network. They are currently running an excellent promotion with the chance to win an all-paid vacation to New Zealand where you get to play in the New Zealand Poker Championships, as well as some fun bonuses including a $25 "Funniest Nickname of the Week" Bonus.
Promotions: 100% to $500 sign-up bonus. $100 Welcome Freeroll. $25 funniest nickname of week. 50% to $200 on all reloads. Bad Beat Bonus. WPT & WSOP Satellites. SNG Jackpots - Fort Knox, $100,000. Rio, $25,000. Dirty Dozen, $25,000. Maui, $15,000.
Kiwi Poker Software: Although the website promises both 2D and 3D graphics, 2D is currently only available. The software runs very smooth and fast, however it is not very customizable, with no option to turn on or off avatars, or change to four colour decks. The lobby is easy to navigate, and there is a buddy list feature.
Kiwi Poker Traffic: GMT Peak Time: 2000. EST Peak Time: 2000. This site is for Texas Hold'Em only; the Omaha games are a ghost town.
Kiwi Poker Game Variety: Games offered are Texas Hold'Em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo, although the latter two are usually almost empty. They also offer various promotional SNGs, with a chance to win some big cash prizes.
Kiwi Poker Fish Factor: Not as fishy as some sites, but generally just weak, passive players make this an easy site to make a buck at.
Kiwi Poker Bonuses: 100% to $500 signup bonus offered, and 50% to $200 on all reloads, which you should only attempt to clear at $2/$4 and above. Clearing requirements depend on how much is raked in the pot, and the higher limits you play, the easier it becomes to clear. Also a $25 Funniest Nickname bonus, and a Bad Beat Bonus.
Kiwi Poker Freerolls: $100 Welcome Freeroll.
Kiwi Poker VIP Club / Loyalty Rewards: N/A
Kiwi Poker Support: Kiwi Poker offer live telephone support and e-mail support. Their employees are very knowledgeable, and demonstrate a fast response time.
Kiwi Poker Deposit/Withdrawal Options: Neteller, Instacash, Moneybookers, Firepay, Wire Transfer, Instadebit, ewallet Xpress, Citadel, Bank Draft,ECO, PaySafe Card, UseMyBank, CLICK2PAY, myCitadel, Central Coin.

"If they were based in Australia I could say 'Fish Factor? What about the Kangaroo Factor?'. As they're not......oh I don't care. Fish Factor? What about the Kangaroo Factor??? Why can't they make pocket aces like a boomerang....you sling em into the muck, and they come right back next hand!"

Gamesgrid Poker Review
Gamesgrid, well known on the internet with their excellent Backgammon software, decided to enter the online poker world in 2005. Things started off well, launching with both Windows and Apple clients, a great frequent player program(VFP) and one of the most incredible bonuses available; 1000% up to $5,000.
Gamesgrid have a very small poker base, however offer a large variety of interesting features including games not found elsewhere, lots of guaranteed tournaments and also will run on a Mac.
Promotions: 200% to $400 sign-up bonus. Bad Beat Jackpot. Win a WSOP Seat.
Gamesgrid Software: Gamesgrids software is an acquired taste. It's different from the usual, and is either a "love it" or "hate it" type of layout. Unfortunately, I am of the latter. It isn't very customizable, as you can't choose a four colour deck or change any of the options on the screen. It's obvious they were going for the plain but simple look, however it comes across tacky and old-fashioned.
Gamesgrid Traffic: GMT Peak Time: 100 EST Peak Time: 200.
Gamesgrid Game Variety: Gamesgrid offer a Dealers Choice game, which no other site offers. They also offer Hold'Em, Omaha and Stud with the usual limit/No Limit/Pot Limit and Hi/Lo Variants. Also available is Razz, and 2/7 Triple Draw Lowball, as well as Kansas City Lowball.
Gamesgrid Fish Factor: The Holdem games are tight, however Dealers Choice and other non-regular games attract a good amount of fish.
Gamesgrid Bonuses: Gamesgrid's signup bonus is 200% up to $400, $1 for every 5 Frequent Player Points. If the games here were nice and loose this would be a solid bonus, unfortunately with the little game selection and tightness, it makes it tougher to clear unless you're playing higher limits.
Gamesgrid Freerolls: N/A
Gamesgrid VIP Club / Loyalty Rewards: Play 10 hours or more in a week and you're eligible for a freeroll with a $500+ prize pool.
Gamesgrid Support: Gamesgrid offer e-mail support, and response time is usually within the hour. No problems to report with their staff.
Gamesgrid Deposit/Withdrawal Options: Firepay, Neteller, Visa, epassporte, instacash, Cheque / Check. Neteller withdrawals hit your account within 24 hours.

Full Tilt Poker Review

Howard Lederer. Phil Ivey. Chris "Jesus" Ferguson. Mike Matusow. John Juanda. Erik Seidel. No, this isn't me just trying out my "WSOP Fantasy Final Table", this is a list of just some of the many professional poker players that both play at, and endorse Full Tilt Poker. Here is another Full Tilt Poker Review at Ultimate Poker Search.
With both a PC and Mac Client, games not available at any other sites, slick software, lots of guaranteed tournaments, some excellent monthly promotions and the possibility to play against Clonie Gowen at $10 NL, or John D'Agostino at $100/$200 limit, Full Tilt is the kind of site you'd like to buy stocks in.
Promotions: 100% to $600 sign-up bonus. 50% to $300 reload. Major event satellites.
Full Tilt Poker Software: The software and graphics are unique in the industry; with large cartoonish avatars representing each player, allowing you to choose from over thirty characters. The lobby is simple to use with a nice layout, categorized well, and refreshes instantly. Unlike other poker rooms, Full Tilt Poker's full ring Hold'Em games have 9 players as opposed to 10. The software is highly customizable, with the ability to change the backgrounds, turn the avatars on and off, choose where you sit(with the table rotating for you), four colour deck and many other features that allow you to play at Full Tilt Poker the way you want.
Full Tilt Poker Traffic: GMT Peak Time: 4000 EST Peak Time: 10,000. Full Tilt have grown fast, and their traffic is mostly for Hold'Em, and Tournaments.
Full Tilt Poker Game Variety: Along with the usual Hold'Em / Omaha / 7 Card Stud combo with hi/lo and pot limit/no limit variations, Full Tilt have two games offered by almost no other online poker room: Razz, and HORSE. Razz, offered in MTT, SNG and cash game format, is a popular lowball game, with A2345 being the best hand, straights and flushes don't count. HORSE is available in SNG & MTT format, and is a mix of (H)old-Em, (O)maha, (R)azz, (S)tud, (E)ight-or-better, with the latter being Stud Hi/Lo. You can find all this information in our poker game rules section. Full Tilt Poker also offer a Tier program, where you can buy into a tournament for $6.60 and satellite your way into almost $400! Full Tilt have lots of cash games, short-handed games, SNGs, tournaments around the clock of different variety and price, and there's always a game to play.....plus you might even get lucky, and get to play with one of the pros!
Full Tilt Poker Fish Factor: Full Tilt is known as a "No Limit" site for a reason; their no limit cash games can at times be some of the fishiest on the internet, especially their 6-max NLHE Games. Their tournaments, including the large guarantees, are full of plenty of fish and predictable players, and can be very lucrative.....quadruple that if a pro is playing. All their other game variants, especially HORSE and Razz, are also very fishy.
Full Tilt Poker Bonuses: Full Tilt offer a 100% to $600 sign-up bonus, and every two months offer a monthly reload of 50% to $300. Their bonus is best cleared at $2/$4 and above, although you can also clear it at Single & Multi Table Tournaments too at a good rate, something not available at most other sites. Playing 1 table of $1/$2 limit Hold'Em would clear at approximately $5 an hour.
Full Tilt Poker Freerolls: Full Tilt will run daily freerolls usually for $20, and sometimes a pro will play in the freeroll. Yep, the chance to match wits with the likes of Chris Ferguson for free.
Full Tilt Poker VIP Club / Loyalty Rewards: Although not yet officially a VIP Club, Full Tilt Poker runs VIP Freeroll Tournaments each month. There are three tournaments, and the top 1500 Full Tilt Point earners get entry to these tournaments. Top 1-500 are in a $28,000 VIP Freeroll, 501-1000 in $15,000 VIP freeroll, and 1001-1500 into a $7k VIP Freeroll. You can also spend your Full Tilt points in the Full Tilt store, which has a very large selection of merchandise. Full Tilt also run other loyalty-based programs, for example they recently ran the Iron Man promotion, where if you earn 50 Full Tilt points for 30 consecutive days, you gained entry to a special freeroll
Full Tilt Poker Support: We have never had any problems with Full Tilt, who offer 24/7 support via e-mail, and their support staff are fast to respond, and always on top of the ball, ready and willing to assist. However we have read on forums of a lot of slow response times, particularly in regard to locked account issues.
Full Tilt Poker Deposit/Withdrawal Options: Neteller, ePassporte, Firepay, Money transfer, eMoney ransfer, Visa, Mastercard, Click2Pay, MyWebATM. Neteller withdrawals processed within 24-48 hours. E-mail cashier@fulltiltpoker.com if you need the money faster.
Dealer Dan's Special Bonus Rating: Full Tilt are always generous in setting up private weekly tournaments for me, and have went out of their way to keep me happy when there were problems. For example, I set up a private heads-up tournament for $5+$0.25. They set it up as $5+$25 by mistake. I just e-mailed them to let them know this(and didn't register), and they fixed it, and also sent me $5.25 as way of an apology. Going of their way to do something like this easily earns them an extra
| DEALER DAN'S CASH IN |
"One of the most complete poker rooms on the internet, that gets better as the weeks go by. If anyone can take over Partys dominance in the industry, I'd put my money on Full Tilt. THIS is how you start up a poker room people!"
